DIRECTIONS FROM FARO TO WESTERN LAGOS
Firstly, FUEL UP. All hire vehicles generally have minimal fuel. There is a 24hr petrol station immediately as you leave the terminal area.
Approximately 2kms from the Airport you will need to take a new slip road, which is the 2nd on the right sign posted LISBOA, LOULE, PORTIMAO AND IP1 (motorway). You are now on the EN125 at this point heading west in direction of PORTIMAO.. Please note there are NO petrol stations on the IP1 but there is a small GALP station along this stretch of EN125 road. Should you miss it, you can turn off the motorway later.
(New motorway sign after leaving airport indicates IC4 in direction of Portimao). After little more that 4kms you pick up the sign for the Motorway, so you need to be alert and ready to get into the LEFT HAND lane. After a very short distance you follow the signs for LISBOA, ALBUFEIRA and PORTIMAO the A22. Remember, you are heading for PORTIMAO / LAGOS. Lagos is well sign posted along the route.
Towards the end of the motorway TAKE exit no.2 - FOR ODIAXXERE , LAGOS ESTE & MARINA DE LAGOS. OR exit no.1 for the west coast, Praia da Luz, Espiche, Parqua da Floresta and further west Vile do Bispo / Sagres.
